Maliko Iki Farm
Mahalo to Alexander & Baldwin and EMI for our lease at Maliko Iki Farm which has allowed interested students to participate in the restoration and maintenance of an historical kuleana farm area since 2000.
It took two and a half years to clear access throughout the area due to an extremely overgrown and rubbish dump condition, created by neglect and misuse. Students grow and sell luau leaf (taro / kalo), and are preparing recently restored lo'i in which to plant watercress, bok choi, and grow more fish. We have made a hiking trail and natural stone stairway which has served cultural / historic tour opportunities for interested student & senior groups over the years.
